Saving trees is just the ticket
SPANISH company Enterticket is encouraging people to use digital bookings rather than paper tickets to enjoy events and save trees.
The Valencia-based booking agency – part of a nationwide group – claims to have saved some 359 trees since 2019 with its change.
And to mark International Day of the Tree this year, it has launched a new ‘save a tree’ campaign to raise awareness of the problem of deforestation and how to avoid excessive use of paper, including digital alternatives.
The going green company has also committed to planting trees to compensate for the paper it has used printing ‘hard copies’ of tickets.
It is estimated 8.8 million trees across the globe are felled each year and
deforestation produces 12% of all greenhouse gases.
