The latest figures from the Spanish Health Ministry for the number of people who have tested positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19) is now 305,767. This is an overall increase of 2,953 against the figure released on Tuesday, yet with the ministry stating that 1,772 infections have occurred in the previous 24 hours. The figures exclude data from Castilla La Mancha and the Basque Country.

In a bid to attract much-needed tourism, the regional government of the Canary Islands has announced that it will cover all coronavirus-related costs of visitors to the archipelago who contract the disease, regardless of whether they are Spaniards or citizens of other countries. This is an overall increase of 5,760 against the figure released the day before, although the figures did on Monday not include data from Madrid, Catalonia or Navarra for ‘technical problems’. The ministry says that 1,178 infections occurred in the previous 24 hours.
