The four deputy prime ministers and 18 cabinet members in Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez's new government were sworn in yesterday before King Felipe VI at the Zarzuela Palace. The monarch congratulated the MPs and wished them luck, their first meeting is due to take place today. The EU’s trade commissioner has suggested there could be a last-minute trade-off with Brussels offering the City of London access to European markets in return for European fleets retaining their fishing rights in British waters. Tourism figures for November saw a sharp increase here in Spain, the first month of growth since June. 4.7 million international tourists visited in November, 2.8% more than in the same month of 2018. The although still the largest individual group, the number of tourists from the UK continued to fall, down by 6.4%. However France, the USA, Ireland and the Netherlands all reported double digit percentage growth in numbers.
