A British man has been arrested in Tenerife on suspicion of stabbing his father to death. Spanish police say the victim, who is also British, is alleged to have been knifed between 30 and 40 times at a home yesterday morning. The son, said to be in his 30s and believed to be an expat, was arrested at about 10am in the southern municipality of Granadilla de Abona.

Spain’s Foreign Affairs Ministry has called for the end to the blockade on oil production in Libya. International talks are currently ongoing to end the blockade of the country’s oilfields by forces loyal to the Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar. Losses from the closure of Libya's oil wells and the current blockades imposed by Haftar's militia have added up to nearly $6 billion over the last five months.
