A 43-year-old British tourist has been arrested in Mallorca after coughing in diners faces and saying he had COVID-19 at several restaurants. Catalan police have arrested two men on suspicion of planning an explosives attack in Barcelona. The two individuals of Algerian nationality, aged 41 and 43, are suspected of belonging to a cell that has been under investigation since 2017. The arrests are part of the operation carried out in January 2019, where 19 people were arrested in Barcelona and the nearby town of Igualada.
Spanish police have arrested two men on suspicion of killing a British pensioner on the Costa Blanca. The pair, a 49-year-old Dutchman and a 33-year-old Spaniard, were held after a lengthy investigation by the Civil Guard into the 70-year-old's death during a violent robbery at her home in Vega Baja del Segura.

Two cities in Northern Spain have moved to what they're calling a “flexible” phase 2 of lockdown, after concerns over local transmission of the coronavirus.
The average number of daily flights across Spain rose to over 2,000 in the first week of July, doubling from the previous week but still only about a third of year-ago levels as the COVID-19 pandemic keeps travel constrained. Early July figures were much higher than the just 300 daily flights in the first week of May, back in July 2019, there were 5,000-6,000 daily flights on average.
